Damaged speed camera replaced

In November 2024, we reported how an average speed camera along the 20mph Llangyfelach Road in Treboeth, Swansea, had been removed.

Its base was taped around the point where it was suspected to have been cut down and left as it was.

South Wales Police launched an appeal for witnesses following three similar incidents in Treboeth, Clydach and Pontardawe between October 2023 and April 2024.

‘The force said at the time that anyone who passed information to Crimestoppers anonymously may be eligible for a reward of up to £1,000 upon arrest and charge.
