> Newport County boss David Hughes is hoping to be celebrating again tonight

CARDIFF City boss Brian Barry-Murphy will name a youthful side for this evening’s Vertu Trophy clash with Arsenal Under-21s - and has confirmed forward Rob Tankiewicz has suffered a broken collarbone.

The Bluebirds head into their final group-stage fixture with an extensive list of international call-ups across all age levels, meaning Barry-Murphy will have to turn out a team consisting entirely of academy products.

It is understood no senior players will be considered for selection.

"It's something that's different for this club, based on how many players we have in every single age group throughout the Wales national team," the Cardiff boss said.

"There's no other club in these isles in that position. Swansea and Wrexham don’t play in it, and even when Wrexham did last season, I imagine they didn’t have the amount of international players we have.”

Barry-Murphy will consult with academy manager Gavin Chesterfield and under-21 coach Darren Purse to assemble a side capable of representing the club.

“We've pushed the players every day this season,” he said.
