Ball to make Welsh rugby return in derby

WALES second-row Jake Ball, pictured, will make the first appearance of his second stint at the Scarlets this weekend, as Dwayne Peel's side take on the Dragons at Rodney Parade in a preseason friendly.

Both clubs have named fairly strong sides for today's match (kickoff: 3pm) as they prepare for the start of the United Rugby Championship season later this month. The Men of Gwent take on Ulster on Friday, September 26, with the Scarlets hosting Munster the following day.
Before that, the two teams will go head-to-head in Newport with the two teams welcoming back a number of Wales internationals.
The Scarlets can call upon club captain Josh Macleod, Blair Murray, Macs Page, Sam Costelow, Taine Plumtree and Joe Roberts from their summer tourists of Japan, while the Dragons have included Aaron Wainwright, Ben Carter, Chris Coleman and Rhodri Williams in their matchday squad.
