Stewart makes decision to leave

FORMER professional footballer Marcus Stewart has stepped down from his position at Yeovil Town FC as head of player development, following his Motor Neurone Disease (MND) diagnosis over two years ago.
Yeovil Town FC described the former Bristol Rovers, Bristol City, Exeter City, Ipswich Town, Sunderland, and Yeovil striker as “a cherished part of our club's history and a much-admired figure within the wider football community”
Diagnosed with MND in September 2022, Stewart has been actively raising awareness and funds for the condition, notably completing a 178-mile march to support research efforts.
The club conveyed its heartfelt “very best wishes to Marcus and his family as he continues his fight with dignity and courage”
