Happy Easter gathering families complete with skittles

HELLO, and I hope you enjoyed your Easter celebrations. Our tradition was accomplished. Our two families gathered and whilst eating our Hot Cross buns we looked at the Good Friday weather. We reminisced about other walks we had done in the rain when - let's be frank here - we were younger. We drove to the pub, an Easter favourite where the landlord looks after us all especially well. We take over the skittles alley. The Muddled Man at West Chinnock was our destination. The food was excellent and the fun with our annual skittles match never diminishes. Some late comers joined us, and our families were complete. As I mentioned, wherever any of us are in the world we try to make our gathering.

As the rain moved off several of our group walked back with the dog leading the way. We still had lots to talk about and our smallest listened to the traditional story being read where, miraculously, a golden Easter egg jumps out at the end for sharing. Will we ever be too old to listen to a story? I think not! Simnel cake and an Easter Bundt cake made by our hostess with the mostest with cups of tea, finished our wonderful Good Friday.
