Fantastic ABBA Voyage
Western Gazette
|May 01, 2025
I RECENTLY was fortunate enough to go along to the amazing ABBA experience Voyage. Using the latest technology the four members of the group Agnetha Fältskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid ‘Frida’ Lyngstad. have been transformed into avatars from their earlier years and appear alongside a live band and singers at the Abba Arena not far from Stratford in East London at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
However, before I move on to this, I must mention the Berrys coach service which whisked up to the event in London on Easter Monday morning. During the journey an announcement was made that they would be withdrawing their on-board couriers. A unique feature for a very long time, I can remember well many of the individuals who have served us over the years. Presumably due to costs and overheads the time has finally come to say goodbye to this facility which has always been a unique part of any journey. Going back years there used to be one courier who had his own collapsible trolley and as far as am aware eventually moved into a career as airline cabin crew. There have also been many characters who have entertained us with their banter and wit during our trips. We will of course still be using this service but would like to say a big thank you to all the couriers and wish them well in any of their new ventures.
