Wildlife photographer’s ‘exhilaration’ at capturing deer portrait

A WILDLIFE photographer has captured a striking portrait of a young roe deer buck after an early morning stalk through the Wiltshire countryside.

Andy Rouse said: “For me roe deer stalking is the ultimate one-to-one challenge as a wildlife photographer. Every sense of the roe deer is better than ours, so I have to be equally sneaky when photographing them.

“I have been working with one population of roe deer in Wiltshire for five years and I am beginning to know their habits and personalities.
