Plan for huge apple store at farm rejected

HEREFORDSHIRE farming group has had its plans for a large new apple store thrown out by a government inspector.
EC Drummond planned to invest around £1 million on the new facility at Tillington fruit farm near Burghill, northwest of Hereford, complementing its recent investment in new orchards at the farm.
Covering an area of nearly half an acre and nearly nine metres high, the building would have had ten separate climate-controlled stores, along with roof-mounted solar panels and rainwater harvesting tanks.
