City's confidence was the difference-maker during their Boxing Day win over West Brom, according to Gerhard Struber, with the Robins boss "really proud" of his squad after they climbed back into the Sky Bet Championship playoff places. The Robins survived a late scare to secure back-to-back League wins for the first time since October as they defeated the Baggies 2-1 at The Hawthorns on Friday afternoon. Ultimately, first-half goals from Anis Mehmeti and Ross McCrorie were enough to claim all three points.
Mehmeti fired City into the lead after just four minutes when the Albanian's low, right-footed effort beat Joe Wildsmith, and after some inspired work from Max O'Leary between the posts, McCrorie then doubled the advantage when he blasted in from the right side of the area quarter of an hour later.
