JACK Leach insists that he "wouldn't want to be playing anywhere else" after penning a new deal at Somerset.

- KEITH WATSON

The England spinner, 34, whose existing county contract was due to run out at the end of 2026, has now committed himself to Somerset until the conclusion of the 2028 campaign courtesy of a two-year extension.

Leach, who grew up supporting Somerset, said: "I'm really pleased to have made this commitment to the club that I love. I've always said that Somerset is my home, and I mean it. I wouldn't want to be playing my cricket anywhere else.

"Representing this club, the region, plus our members and supporters, means everything to me and hopefully we can give everyone plenty to cheer about in the next few years."
