THE beginning of November has been “exceptionally” warm, according to the Met Office, which confirmed that Bonfire Night was a record-breaker.

The mild weather began in October, with the average temperature being 0.7 degrees C above the 1991-2020 average for the month, according to the Met Office. It says several factors have contributed to the change in climate. As we entered November, a 'flow of warm air from the south' swept across the UK.
