Charlie: We need to get the balance right now
Western Daily Press
|October 11, 2025
GLOUCESTER Rugby must get the balance of their attacking game right when they visit Bath Rugby this evening, according to fullback Charlie Atkinson.
The Cherry & Whites head to the Blue, Black & Whites in round three of the Gallagher Prem, with the latter level on points at the top of the table and the former yet to record their first victory this season.
Gloucester collapsed late on to lose their opener 27-10 at Sale before starting slowly last weekend as Northampton built-up a 31-point lead before finally edged home 37-35.
Atkinson said: “In the Sale game we kind of fell into their style of play - we kicked a lot at times when we didn’t have to - and then obviously last week we didn't help ourselves trying to run it when we should have looked to kick. Getting that balance right is what we've been working on”
