SOMERSET is celebrating the return of the Maestro Series, the ambitious programme of concerts that brings some of the world's most distinguished musicians to perform and teach in the heart of the county.

Launched in 2025, the Maestro Series was created to give music lovers across the South West a rare monthly opportunity to hear internationally revered artists without the need to travel to major cities. Its impact was immediate, attracting music lovers from across Somerset and far beyond.

"We were overwhelmed by the response, and agreed to organise a second series without hesitation," said Alex Laing, Director of Music at Wells Cathedral School. "Once again, we've ensured the programme offers something for everyone - from solo recitals and duos to string quartets and song, featuring instruments from piano to saxophone."
