Tryon and Dercksen steer Proteas Women Sri Lankan to conciliation victory in 'brutal' series

The Proteas were coming off a 23-run defeat at the hand of India, losing two in a row to a dominant team that has led the series so far.

Captain Laura Wolvaardt praised the young Dercksen and said the series was a foundation for her to break into the scene with a bang with her ton against the Sri Lankans.

Tryon on the other end, who returned to international cricket from a year long absence due to a back injury, looked right at home in the final group match against Sri Lanka.

India was the other team playing in the series, and will face Sri Lanka in the final match of the series on Sunday.
