Symposium aims to champion nutrition advocacy

THE Tiger Brands Foundation (TBF) and the University of the Free State (UES) will drive nutrition education at the 2025 Continuing Nutrition Education (CNE) Symposium, hosted at the Equitas Building, UFS Bloemfontein Campus.

Themed “Nourishing from the Roots: Sustainable Diets for a Thriving Future,” the symposium brings together 120 dietitians, researchers, and advocates to address South Africa’s nutrition crisis, with over 50% of households with young learners facing food insecurity.

Rooted in the Free State’s legacy of agricultural abundance and community resilience, this event builds on the success of last year’s Dietetics with Dignity symposium.
