The 2026 AGM season is unfolding against a backdrop of moderating securities market momentum, placing greater emphasis on risk control and governance standards.

After a buoyant 2025, marked by record profits, rapid growth in margin lending, and sustained high liquidity, the securities sector has entered 2026 with a more cautious stance.

The approach is reflected in the plans of companies holding AGMs early in the season. VPS Securities is scheduled to meet on April 15 in Hanoi, targeting revenue of approximately $460 million and pretax profit of $230 million, up nearly 40 and 30 per cent on-year, respectively, with a continued focus on business segments closely linked to market liquidity.
