Pupils step back in time to learn about faith and history

HUNDREDS of primary school children from Tiverton and the surrounding villages have been stepping back in time, thanks to a local immersive educational experience that brings local history and faith to life.
Lifepath Tiverton aims to give year 4 pupils the opportunity to explore the Christian faith through the 'life paths' of the Wesley family (Susannah, John, Charles, Samuel) who have a link to the town.
Held at St Paul's Church, the experience transports children to the 1700s, where they discover the lives of the Wesley family - key figures in British religious and cultural history.
Rev Andy Humm, vicar of St Paul's, said that through their story, the youngsters learn about their traits, skills, gifts, and ultimately their faith in Christ.
"We want to encourage children to reflect on their own life path, to understand how the choices they make today can shape their future," he added.
