THOMAS FRANK always knew that he would eventually arrive at his day of reckoning.
The 51-year-old Dane was already one of the most wanted men in the Premier League when I was invited to spend a couple of hours in his company at Brentford’s training ground in Hounslow last October.
At that time he was being touted as a possible successor to Erik ten Hag at Manchester United. There had been talk that Liverpool were looking at him when looking to replace Jurgen Klopp.
