One of the many joys running brings is meeting amazing people who help inspire and motivate me.
-
A few years back, I met the incredible Lisa Jackson and our paths have continued to cross over the years, both physically and virtually, with races and through her role as a Runner's World columnist.
Sadly, Lisa lost her soulmate husband of 30 years to bone cancer just before we met. Her horrendous experience of seeing a loved one die in extreme, unmanageable pain lit a flame in her.
She didn't want others to experience that.
