Friend charged over 1D star's balcony death tells of 'relapse'

LIAM Payne was sectioned after a near-fatal overdose five months before his death, a friend has claimed.

Roger Nores, the Argentinian businessman who was with the One Direction star on the day he died, said Liam was rushed to hospital last May and that he had to be resuscitated.

SUBSTANCES

Liam, 31, died in October following a fall from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires.

After his death, police discovered substances in his hotel room.

Nores said that months earlier he had taken a phone call to say that the star was in intensive care after an overdose and that Liam had been sectioned.
