JEAN-PHILIPPE MATETA was subjected to vile chants of "let him die" from Millwall fans as he was taken off on a stretcher following a sickening boot to the head from Lions goalkeeper Liam Roberts.
The Crystal Palace forward was taken to hospital with a serious ear injury. He is set to have surgery, but said last night on social media: "I'm doing well. I hope to be back very soon and stronger than ever. Well done guys for the great job today."
