That means they are there to learn and to observe professionals. Their educational opportunities are diminished if they are simply used as an extra pair of hands.
Many face difficulties pushing back, telling us they keep quiet to avoid being labelled troublemakers.
This shocking situation didn't happen by accident.
It's a symptom of chronic underinvestment in nursing.
