Scammers took out loans in grandad's name

A VULNERABLE pensioner was conned out of nearly £60,000 by scammers who used a deepfake video of consumer champion Martin Lewis.

Adrian Kearney, 71, clicked on a Facebook ad that promised large returns from an initial £200 investment.

The great-grandfather, who has early stage dementia, was then duped into handing over control of his mobile phone to the fraudsters, who got him to download a remote access app.
