Tap therapy like Harry's saved me after my baby died
-
crime drama called Better Sister starring Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks.
In the series, due to be released on May 29, Biel's character Chloe Taylor uses tapping to deal with the stress of her husband's murder.
Speaking to us last week during Mental Health Awareness Week, Sarah, now 43, taps herself discreetly as she draws on emotional memories.
She discovered EFT the year after losing Alice following a chat with her sister. At the time, Sarah was pregnant with her second child. "During my first session, I had a breakthrough and I cried deeper than I had ever cried before," she says.
"It was the beginning of healing and the results were life-transforming."
Sarah was so impressed with the benefits that she quit her high-powered marketing job to become a qualified practitioner and has since written a book called Tapping Into You.
Sarah, of Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, says: "I'm now sharing the techniques I have learned to help others to transform their lives." But she admits she struggled to deal with her grief in the days after Alice's death.
"I was in the darkest pit of despair," she says. "I had a constant, agonising pain in my heart. The depth of the darkness terrified me.
"I wanted to be alone... I didn't want people's compassion or to see the pity in their eyes."
