LUKE MOLYNEUX held his nerve with a controversial 88th-minute penalty as Doncaster blasted back into League One.

He got his chance after Sil Swinkels handled when Matty Pearson headed Molyneux’s in-swinging free-kick.

Fuming Exeter felt it was harsh given the Aston Villa loanee’s arm was barely a yard away.

But Molyneux (above), Rovers’ player of the year when winning League Two last season, fired home.

It was the least they deserved on their third-tier return after a three-year absence having dominated possession on opening day.
