Dancing with joy...
The Sunday Mirror
|July 06, 2025
THEY exploded on to Britain's Got Talent in a riot of colour and energy and stole all our hearts.

Judge Bruno Tonioli was so impressed by the Ghetto Kids' enthusiasm and dancing that he sent them straight to the semifinals via his golden buzzer.
The youngsters from the streets of Uganda have since met the Queen and Prince William, performed at Westminster Abbey, and been guests of honour at Chelsea FC.
And among their many fans is football legend and pundit Rio Ferdinand.
TRIUMPH
But just as amazing as their 2023 BGT performances is the kids' determination, courage and triumph over the cruellest of adversity. Their story has been made into a six-part documentary out today on YouTube.
It traces the origins of the troupe, follows them through BGT, and reveals what happened afterwards. It tells the children's heartbreaking stories and shows how radically dance has transformed their lives.
Akram, 15, who was honoured to meet the Queen and Wills, says: "I feel so much joy when I'm on stage; so happy I forget what happened to me on the street." At the heart of the troupe is Kavuma Dauda, who used his own experiences in a tough Ugandan ghetto to bring hope to orphaned and povertystricken children.
