Stink-hit city's new boss has posh boutique
THE new commissioner of a city plagued by a long-running bin strike has been selling £46 scented candles.
Tony McArdle was made £1,200-a-day lead commissioner of cash-strapped Birmingham city council last week.
We can reveal he also co-owns a boutique shop with his wife that flogs posh homeware “carefully selected to bring a touch of indulgence into your life”.
Items included £46 Berry Voyage and Rose Republic candles.
