White House Overhauls Covid-19 Website to Promote Lab-Leak Theory

In a significant shift in its public stance, the White House has relaunched its Covid-19 website with a new narrative that places the lab-leak theory at the center of the pandemic's origin story.

The revamped site accuses the Biden administration, particularly President Joe Biden and former chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci, of suppressing debate about Covid-19's origins and mishandling the overall response to the pandemic.

Formerly a portal for information on vaccines, testing, and safety protocols, the Covid.gov homepage now opens with an image of Donald Trump and a bold declaration: "LAB LEAK: The True Origins of Covid-19."

According to a White House statement, the updated content seeks to "reveal how Democrats and the media suppressed alternative health treatments and buried the lab-leak theory."

This change comes on the heels of a shift in the U.S. intelligence community's assessment.

The CIA recently revised its position, now stating it is "more likely" that Covid-19 originated from a lab leak in Wuhan, China.

This aligns with previous conclusions from the FBI and the Department of Energy, though the agencies continue to differ in their confidence levels.

The revamped website takes direct aim at Dr. Fauci, alleging that he promoted a misleading narrative about the virus's natural origin.
