SMALLER PARTIES FADE IN HARYANA
The Sunday Guardian
|October 06, 2024
Experts believe the BJP sought a multipolar election in Haryana, which could increase Congress's electoral prospects.
With the completion of Assembly elections in Haryana, the Congress party, which is viewed as a frontrunner to win the Assembly elections, is expected to have a substantial increase in its vote share due to the reduced existence of smaller parties, such INLD, JJP and BSP.
According to political experts based in the state, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wanted the elections to be multipolar so that the people do not only have two options, this would help the grand old party strengthen its electoral footprint in the state.
