Rana in Custody for Wider Terror Plot

Tahawwur Rana, a key conspirator in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, has been remanded to 18 days of National Investigation Agency (NIA) custody following his extradition from the United States.
Investigators suspect that Rana may have been involved in planning similar terror plots across multiple Indian cities, extending the scope of the original conspiracy.
According to sources, the NIA is preparing to take Rana to several locations across India in an effort to reconstruct events from 17 years ago and uncover the full extent of the conspiracy. Officials believe that the tactics used during the 26/11 attacks, which killed 166 people and injured over 238, might have been intended for replication in other parts of the country.
