KEJRIWAL MAY GET BAIL BEFORE DELHI ELECTION
The Sunday Guardian
|September 01, 2024
AAP has been worried that Kejriwal's prolonged incarceration would impact morale of workers.
With the investigating agencies failing to recover the proceeds of the alleged crime or any trace of money in the alleged scam in the Delhi excise policy despite two years of filing the FIR in the case, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal is likely to be out on bail well in time to take charge of the party's election campaign for next year's Assembly elections.
He has been in prison since 21 March 2024.
In recent months, three politically exposed persons allegedly involved in the scam have been granted bail by the Supreme Court on the same reasoning that the agency had not been able to recover the proceeds of the crime.
