As of 2024, India is among the leading nations in terms of solar energy capacity, with more than 45 GW of installed capacity. The Indian government's ambitious targets, including the National Solar Mission, are setting the stage for exponential growth in the sector. The target for 2025 is to reach 100 GW of solar capacity, signaling an intense focus on scaling up solar power generation.
