Delhi on high alert, anti-terror drills, paramilitary deployed

In response to Pakistan's intensified aggression along the western border and the Line of Control (LoC), the Indian Armed Forces have taken swift and decisive action. Simultaneously, the Delhi Police have ramped up security measures across the national capital, placing sensitive locations on high alert due to escalating hostilities, which have included nighttime cross-border shelling in several border regions, including Jammu, according to police officials.

To ensure foolproof security, Delhi Police have deployed additional personnel, including paramilitary forces, at critical infrastructure sites such as government buildings, sewage and water treatment plants, courts, and foreign embassies. All police personnel in Delhi have been instructed to cancel their leaves to maintain heightened vigilance.
