The M6 is the first mid-sized electric seven-seater to be available here

Wish come true for BYD buyers with families

From 2003 to 2018, a car called the Toyota Wish sold like the proverbial hot cakes. It was a remarkably roomy seven-seater with a relatively small footprint; its seats were highly configurable, and you could fold the second and third rows flat to carry a three-seater sofa.

It was competitively priced and had a city-tuned engine and transmission that offered surprising efficiency and driveability. And it was also reasonably stylish.

Flash floods seem to be increasingly frequent. How do I manage driving through one?

There are floods you could drive through and some you should never attempt crossing in your car.

When there is a sudden heavy downpour while you are driving, switch to a news station that provides updates on traffic situations. The best course of action is to reroute and avoid any roads that are flooded.

If diverting is not possible, then you need to make a decision whether to continue driving. Try to gauge the depth of water based on kerbs, railings, or even other vehicles (especially those similar to yours) that may be wading ahead of you.

It is quite safe to drive through if the water level is up to your vehicle's ground clearance. For saloons, it would be between 100mm and 150mm. It will definitely be less for sports cars. Sport utility vehicles with between 200mm and 300mm ground clearance or height-adjustable air-suspension can be driven through higher flood levels.
