UN Charter's principles more vital than ever: PM Wong

With geopolitical tensions rising, the principles of the United Nations Charter are more important than ever, Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said on June 24.
The UN's 80th anniversary on June 26 is a "timely reminder of the values we must uphold", PM Wong said in a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office.
"It is also a call to action - to reform and strengthen the UN, so that it remains fit for purpose, and is able to tackle the global challenges of our time," he added.
