Aug 15 South Africa (Fairview) form analysis
-
RACE 1 (1,200M) (1) THE ROARING ROCK has found one better on the day in both his local starts. He should beat those who have racing experience, but there is an interesting newcomer.
Trainer Gavin Smith tends to test his best newcomers over this particular course and distance, so watch the betting on Gimmethegreenlight gelding (3) ALL SYSTEMS GO.
(5) BUGLE makes his local debut and should improve and can contest the finish.
(7) THROW A PARTY needed the run first-up from a short let-up. Will come on from that and could have a say this time round.
RACE 2 (1,400M) (5) MORFELIHA showed improvement in her second start and brings Western Cape form to the table, so would not be a surprise winner.
(1) OLIVE OYL was threatening to win a race but dislodged her rider last time. Jockey Richard Fourie gets his first try on her and that could make all the difference.
(2) SECONDS OUT is capable of improvement and has a place chance.
(3) CALL ME CLARION has been a disappointment so far but could improve.
