SPH Media senior execs in China for exchanges with counterparts

Senior executives from SPH Media are meeting media outlets in China to discuss challenges faced by mainstream news organisations, including misinformation and the need for digital transformation.
During the four-day visit to Beijing, which started on July 7, they have also discussed collaboration in technology, artificial intelligence and journalism development.
The group is led by SPH Media chief executive Chan Yeng Kit. It includes Ms Lee Huay Leng, editor-in-chief of SPH Media's Chinese Media Group (CMG), and Ms Loh Woon Yen, CMG's deputy editor-in-chief.
In a statement on July 9, SPH Media said the purpose of the visit is to gain insight into the latest developments, innovations and trends shaping China's media landscape through engagements with mainstream media outlets there. These include China Media Group, People's Daily and Xinhua News Agency.
