Sinner's doping hearing will be in April, says CAS

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner will have his hearing into allegations of doping at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on April 16 and 17, the Lausanne-based body said on Jan 10.

"No parties requested a public hearing and it will be conducted behind closed doors," CAS said in a statement.
The defending Australian Open champion twice tested positive for traces of the steroid clostebol in March.
He was exonerated by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA), which accepted his explanation that the drug entered his system when his physio used a spray containing it to treat a cut, then provided massage and sports therapy to the player.
The World Anti-Doping Agency then appealed against the decision to the CAS and Sinner is awaiting the verdict with a suspension possible.
In an earlier interview ahead of the Jan 12-26 Australian Open, Sinner admitted that the scandal continues to play on his mind.
