Police warn of scams with fake e-mails from 'top cop'

The public should stay vigilant against scams where imposters pretend to be the Commissioner of Police, who is the highest-ranking police official.
In this scam variant, victims would receive an unsolicited email from a sender pretending to be the Commissioner of Police, said the police on Dec 28.
The email, the police said, contains a "warning letter" which claims that the police and the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore have started investigating the email's recipients for their involvement in criminal activities.
