The Peugeot XP400 GT looks like a scooter that could take on the world with its fierce design and grand touring abilities.

Peugeot XP400 GT: A Fierce French Scooter in a Dual-Purpose Guise

It has chunks of rubber at the edges of its tubeless tires, wire-spoked wheels, hand guards usually found on dirt bikes and a "beak" under its dual headlamps that could peck on any dirt road.

In reality, the GT, from a French brand known for its cars, is a 400cc scooter that thrives on long, open roads.

While it can ride on gravel roads, the fuel-injected automatic GT is better suited as an everyday commuter motorcycle with the potential of cruising on the expressways in relative comfort.

Without a doubt, it exudes European flair. From its sleek body work to the cheeky rear design, the right side panel exposes just enough to flaunt its laterally positioned shock absorber.

Dual analogue clocks on its dashboard—with a digital screen between them—show speed, fuel level, and temperature. It is a very balanced-looking presentation.

Bringing the GT to life is done via a smart key. Configuring the language and Bluetooth connectivity for features—such as navigation, SMS alerts, and data tracking on the GT's digital screen—is done via two buttons found on each side of the handlebar.
