Treasurethe Moment extends her winning streak to nine with 1st open Group 1 first-up

MELBOURNE - Trainer Matt Laurie was blown away with the return win of Treasurethe Moment, who graduated to open Group 1 company at Caulfield on Aug 30.
A dual Oaks-winning filly during her three-year-old season, Treasurethe Moment made her return in the A$50,000 (S$629,000) Memsie Stakes (1,400m).
The youngest member of the nine runners that lined up on Aug 30, Treasurethe Moment is still two months shy of turning four.
That was not lost on Laurie prerace, but he was in awe of the daughter of Alabama Express following her sensational performance.
Under the guidance of Damian Lane, Treasurethe Moment ($14) raced to a 2½-length victory from Mr Brightside (Craig Williams) with Buckaroo (Jye McNeil) running on from last, a half-length away.
