Mbappe seeks extraordinary sum from PSG

Real Madrid's star forward Kylian Mbappe is seeking around €240 million (S$362.2 million) from Paris Saint-Germain in a lawsuit that further illustrates the damaged relationship with his former club, according to people familiar with the matter.

The player’s lawyers are due to argue at a Paris employment tribunal on Nov 17 that he is owed the vast sum over the way he was treated towards the end of his tenure at the club.
Mbappe’s relationship with PSG began to sour in 2023 after he told the club he would not extend his contract. He turned down a move to Saudi Arabia, which would have netted the French team €300 million, before eventually signing for Real on a free transfer.
PSG has counter-sued for €180 million, according to one of the people, who asked not to be named discussing private information.
