Man charged in Sengkang murder case believed to be son of victim

A man was charged on June 3 with murdering a 79-year-old woman in Sengkang.
Lim Yuen Li, 44, is accused of killing Ms Wang How Khiew, who is believed to be his mother, in a Housing Board flat at Block 465B Fernvale Road between 2am and 10.30am on June 1.
In a statement on June 2, police said officers received a call for help shortly before noon that day.
The Straits Times understands that Lim and Ms Wang were living together.
