Malaysian trainer Lim Shung You is keen to run Arigato in another feature race after his back-to-back all-the-way win in the RM100,000 (S$30,400) Charity Cup (1,400m) in Ipoh on Sept 7.

Lim sets sights on NZB Ready To Run Sale Championship for Arigato

The Charm Spirit seven-year-old last saluted in the Enrich Stakes A event (1,300m) in Perak on Aug 23, when he pulled away to an easy 2¼-length victory under Andre da Silva.

That was only his second win in Malaysia. The nine-time winner from Macau similarly won from the front second-up in a Supreme A race (1,200m) at Sungai Besi on Dec 22, 2024 after coming under Lim's care in Malaysia.

Following the same blueprint for success, Arigato made good use of draw one to shoot to the lead under first-time partner Wong Kam Chong in the field of 10 on Sunday, while Faithful Leader (Harmeet Singh Gill) sat behind in second and Wilsing (Rueven Ravindra) settled in third.
