France skipper plays part in all three goals against Luxembourg in friendly victory
-
Few things in football can be more exciting than Kylian Mbappe being at his best, and France coach Didier Deschamps has hailed his captain as a "formidable leader" after the 25-year-old forward stole the show on June 5.
Les Bleus strolled to a comfortable 3-0 win over Luxembourg in a pre-Euro 2024 friendly in Metz, as their star man sealed the win in front of their home crowd after delivering two assists.
Forward Randal Kolo Muani put France in front just before the break, heading in from a precise Mbappe pass, before Jonathan Clauss' thunderous strike from outside the box doubled the advantage in the 70th minute.
Mbappe added the third goal 15 minutes later with a low shot from near the penalty spot for his 47th international goal.
The 2018 World Cup winner, who finalised his widely anticipated move from Paris Saint-Germain to Real Madrid on June 3, has now been involved in 80 goals for France in 78 games.
