New scheme aims to boost country as a work destination with longer-stay permit

JAKARTA The Indonesian government is planning to roll out the red carpet for global talent through a soon-to-be-launched golden visa” programme, which aims to make Indonesia a more enticing place to work in with a longer-stay permit.
Following a Cabinet meeting with President Joko Widodo on Monday, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno told reporters that the golden visa could be a game changer” in the country’s effort to attract more foreign workers and investments, which could in turn create more job opportunities.
