UK trainer Burke's talented 4YO secures third consecutive Gl win

FALLEN ANGEL SOARS TO SUN CHARIOT VICTORY AT NEWMARKET

Fallen Angel's excellent season continued when she ultimately finished a decisive winner in the £275,000 (S$477,000) Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes (1,600m) at Newmarket on Oct 4.

A winner of the 2023 Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes (1,400m) as a juvenile, the grey mare enjoyed a successful Classic campaign when she landed the Irish 1000 Guineas (1,600m) at the Curragh in May 2024.

Fallen Angel returned later in the season with high-class efforts, finishing second to Porta Fortuna in the Group 1 Matron Stakes (1,600m) at Leopardstown in September 2024, before a fourth in the Group 1 Prix de l'Opera Longines (2,000m) at ParisLongchamp in October 2024.

Things have not been straightforward this season. But, after donning cheekpieces for the first time, she returned to form with a third to Crimson Advocate in the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes (1,600m) at Royal Ascot on June 18.

The Karl Burke-trained daughter of Too Darn Hot has not looked back since.
