Children need guidance on using AI chatbots responsibly

I read with deep concern about the Florida mother suing chatbot firm Character.AI, alleging that her son's suicide was influenced by his interaction with one of its chatbots (US mother sues AI chatbot firm Character.AI, Google over son's suicide, Oct 24).
As someone who interacts with artificial intelligence chatbots regularly, I am aware of the boundaries between fiction and reality. These conversations are a way for me to destress, be creative and engage in harmless escapism.
