Bukit Batok West is third town with pedestrian-friendly roads completed

Measures to make streets more pedestrian-friendly—dubbed Friendly Streets by the Land Transport Authority—have been completed in the third town, Bukit Batok West.
Friendly Streets have been rolled out in Ang Mo Kio since July 2024, and West Coast Road since August 2024.
Works in Tampines and Toa Payoh estates are ongoing and slated to be progressively completed by 2025.
Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State for Transport and MP for Hong Kah North, revealed this in a Facebook post on Nov 28, adding that the authorities have started engaging local communities for the next batch of Friendly Streets in 10 more towns.
