Students explore the cosmos at 'Galaxis'

From the mysteries of the premature universe to the mind-bending concepts of multiverse theories, high school students in Kolkata recently engaged themselves in the depths of astrophysics.

This intellectual discussion was a part of 'Galaxis', a first-of-its-kind inter-school symposium focused on space research, hosted by G.D. Birla Centre for Education.

The event marked a significant shift, reflecting India's growing importance in global space exploration. Emphasising the nation's rising prominence, C.A. Lucas, Principal of the school, said, "First of all, we have to realise that today India as a nation is making great strides in space research. When I was a student, we used to hear about other countries dominating space research, but today India has become a key player. So when my teachers came to me with this idea, I felt that we couldn't give a better opportunity to inspire children, to explore this line of research, and contribute to the nation's growth as a leader in space research."
